Irwell Works Brewery

Irwell Works Brewery is situated in the former ‘IRWELL STEAM, TIN, COPPER & IRON WORKS’ on Irwell Street in Ramsbottom, Lancashire. The building dates from 1888 and originally built for local coppersmith Richard Mason.

Our business is a micro-brewery & brewery tap. The building was an engineering works from 1888 until 2003 and has been completely refurbished to house a 6BBL brewery producing 78 firkins of ale per week. The brewery tap is on the first floor & is open Wednesday to Sunday for drinks & tap snacks.

We signed up for google photos in order to reach a wider clientele & to show interested people what we do here.

Our favourite feature is the 360 degree tour which shows our business most effectively and we were impressed with the quality of photography.

Every week we have new faces in the bar saying they have only just discovered us. The general feeling is very positive & we have not had any negative feedback at all. We like to think that we are ‘Ramsbottom’s best kept secret’.
